A six month stint working on a Falkland Island sheep farm at the tender age of 17 instilled in me an insatiable desire to explore the globe, not to mention a lifelong aversion to mutton. Strange as it may seem, gutting sheep and foraging for dinner on those windswept isles in the South Atlantic hooked me on travel, permanently.
They say variety is the spice of life. I research, write and shoot images on an eclectic range of subjects – from contemporary architecture in Chicago and investment in Indonesia to coffee production in Kenya and rhino conservation in Nepal. I may have treehugging tendencies, but that doesn’t stop me writing objectively when it comes to oil exploration in Norway’s Lofoten Islands, Chinese investment in Africa, geothermal energy in Iceland, or the rise of sustainable tourism in Mozambique.
I am always learning – about myself, about what I can do, and about this amazing planet on which we live. If you’ve enjoyed the work on this site, feel free to get in touch.
